Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy for Autism & ADHD
Come as You Are — Support Without Masking
Are You...
-Wishing you could just be yourself without performing neurotypical?
-Looking for help that works with your brain, not against it?
-Not sure how to explain your ADHD or autism needs to others?
-Feeling like people only see what’s hard for you, not what you’re good at?
If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place.
What is Neurodivergent-Affirming Therapy?
ND-affirming therapy is an approach that recognizes and celebrates the natural differences in how brains work. It doesn’t try to “fix” autism, ADHD, or AuDHD. Instead, it supports you in understanding yourself and finding what actually works for your life.
At Kitchen Table Psychotherapy, therapy is built around your needs, identity, and communication style. There’s no pressure to mask or perform. Support is shaped around your brain — not someone else’s idea of “normal.”
This can look like:
-Learning how to ask for what you need in a way that feels right for you
-Building self-compassion and seeing your strengths alongside your challenges
-Talking about relationships, work, school, and daily life in ways that make sense for your brain
-Learning tools and strategies to feel less overwhelmed and more steady

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. I offer virtual therapy across Massachusetts for autistic and ADHD clients. You can join from anywhere in the state (whether you're in Boston, Worcester, Malden, or a smaller town) and still receive ND-affirming support from home.
Many neurodivergent clients find that online therapy is less stressful, especially when sensory overload or executive functioning makes it hard to get to an office. Virtual sessions also allow us to work with your real-life environment — not just talk in a therapy office — so changes can happen where you actually live and function.
I also offer virtual movement and walk-and-talk sessions, where you can be moving around or outdoors during therapy (as long as it’s private enough). This can help if sitting still or being on video feels tiring or uncomfortable.
-
Absolutely. Whether you have a formal diagnosis of autism, ADHD, AuDHD, or you're still exploring your neurodivergence, you’re welcome here. I trust your experience and don’t require a diagnosis to begin therapy. This space is about supporting you as you are — diagnosis or not.
-
You're not alone. Many autistic and ADHD clients come to therapy with past experiences that felt invalidating or lacking. ND folks I’ve worked with often say I “understand how their brain works” or that I “speak their language” in a way that feels different from past therapy.
I offer neurodivergent-affirming, trauma-informed therapy that centers your lived experience. Of course, neurodivergence is a big umbrella, so I may not be the right fit for everyone. But if you’re seeking support where you can be truly seen and accepted as you are, this might be a good place to start.

Most clients meet weekly or every other week. I offer recurring appointments, and we can also schedule your next session right after the current one — whichever works best for you.
You can choose to receive automatic reminders by text or email, with customizable timing and frequency to help you keep track of appointments.
We’ll work together to find a schedule that feels doable and supportive. I understand that executive functioning challenges and burnout can make weekly therapy tough sometimes — and that’s completely okay. We’ll stay flexible to make sure therapy fits your needs.
